Our love for old buildings began over 20 years ago, when we moved to rural France and spent six years restoring a number of traditional properties — both our own and for others. It was a hands-on adventure and a steep learning curve, where we refined our skills in traditional building techniques, from stone walling and roofing to pointing and rendering.

Before that, Jez had completed a City & Guilds in General Building and worked as a painter and decorator, laying the foundation for our work today. Since returning to the UK, we’ve taken part in a wide range of restoration projects, and in recent years have developed a particular focus on breathable, eco-conscious paint solutions for lime-rendered buildings.

 

There’s nothing we love more than seeing the transformation of a beautiful, characterful home. We’re always looking for practical, long-lasting, and cost-effective solutions that honour a building’s history while giving it new life. We use only environmentally friendly paint systems, and we’re proud to work with some of the most sustainable and forward-thinking brands leading the way in breathable finishes.

With a background in design, Niki can also offer colour and finish advice to help you achieve the look and feel you’re after — whether that’s timeless and traditional or more contemporary.

Over the years, we’ve managed a wide variety of renovation projects and are happy to project manage, gather and oversee quotes, organise trades, and advise on different approaches. We pride ourselves on clear communication, reliable timelines, and creating a smooth, transparent process from start to finish.
